
The OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP) is a scholarship program that aims to provide financial assistance to qualified dependents of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs). This program offers a scholarship amounting to Php 20,000.00 per school year to eligible students who are enrolled in a four-year or five-year baccalaureate course or associate course in any college or university.
Qualifications for the ODSP
To be eligible for the ODSP, the applicant must meet the following qualifications:
Incoming Freshmen (1st year college)
- Must be single
- Grade 11 graduate (Incoming Grade 12 / currently enrolled as Grade 12)
- Not more than 21 years old
- With a passing grade
For those who are already enrolled in 2nd year to 5th year in college
- Must be single
- Not more than 30 years old
- With a passing grade
Requirements for the ODSP
Applicants must prepare the following requirements:

- OWWA RWO OFW Membership Record
- 2 pcs. I.D. Picture with name tag
- Government Issued or Company Issued I.D
- At least one (1) valid I.D. of OFW member and/or Authorized Representative
- Proof of Relationship to OFW Member (e.g., Birth Certificate from PSA or LCR, OFW Birth Certificate if dependent is a sibling, OFW CENOMAR if single, Dependent’s Birth Certificate)
- Dependent’s Form 137/ Certified true copy of Form 138/ Transcript of Records (TOR) indicating 80% GWA without failing grades
- School Registrar
Please note that due to the pandemic, the following special requirements are currently waived:
- Certificate of Good Moral
- Medical Certificate (physically fit to attend school if the student has a medical pre-condition/s)
- School Registrar or Authorized School Officer/Faculty
- Any competent Medical Practitioner from a public or private medical institution/facility
How to Avail the ODSP
If you meet the qualifications and have prepared the requirements, you can avail of the ODSP by following these steps:
- Visit the OWWA Regional Welfare Office which covers the permanent address of the OFW.
- Get a queuing number or queue in the line for an ODSP scholarship application.
- Obtain the Notice of Award and Schedule of Scholarship Orientation.
- Attend the Scholarship Orientation and facilitate the notarization of the Scholarship Agreement.
